About Us
Entrepreneurs play a key role in any economy. These are the people who have the skills and initiative necessary to anticipate current and future needs and bring good new ideas to market. Even Govt. of India has recognized the importance of entrepreneurship and has introduced programs like "Make in India" & "Start-up India".
An Entrepreneurship Development Cell (e-cell) is initiated in the Institute with the goal of nurturing entrepreneurship skills of the students. The cell provides a platform for the wannapreneur to pursue entrepreneurial activities and also provide assistance to potential entrepreneurs.
Objectives
- To make the students understand entrepreneurial challenges and opportunities.
- To motivate students to opt Entrepreneurship as a career.
- To conduct guidance sessions of successful engineer entrepreneurs.
- To inculcate a culture of innovation driven entrepreneurship through student projects.
- To make the students abreast with Business registration process and Modes of Funding.
- To provide literature on Entrepreneurship.
- To create awareness about IP rights and patenting procedure.
- To provide literature on Patents and Copyrights.
- To advice and guide on the importance of IPR, especially Patents.
Activities
- To organize entrepreneurship awareness camps for engineering students.
- To conduct ED programs for students and faculty members.
- To arrange lectures of eminent persons, successful first generation entrepreneurs and alumni entrepreneurs.
- To organize business model workshops and competitions.
- To arrange industrial visits.
- To arrange internship fair.
- To organize e-summit at zonal level.
