About Department
The Computer Engineering Department of MET’s Institute of Engineering is established in the year 2006, and has grown over the years into a competent department with state of the art computing facilities, and dedicated faculties. Having started with a four year under-graduate program, B.E (Computer Engineering), the department now proudly host of the Post Graduate program, M.E Computer (Computer Engineering), increase in intake for B.E (Computer Engineering) from 60 to 120, along with Research Center. Our department has been accredited twice by National Board of Accreditation with effect from 1st July 2017 to 30th June 2020, later from 1st July 2020 to 30th June 2023 and is a continuous process.
We are committed to excellence through innovations in the teaching and learning process, applying new technologies to provide effective solution for societal problems, as well as overall development of our students so as to accept the challenges and grab the opportunities that are created on regular basis due to rapid changes in Technology. We aim to provide our students the lifelong learning and leadership skills that enable them to grow in their professions and advance to positions of responsibility, by conducting training programs from industries/industry experts, industry visits, internships, through Trainings and Placement cell. We also try to nurture the entrepreneur skills among students to develop as entrepreneur by conducting different activities through Entrepreneurship Development cell. Highly qualified and dedicated faculty, with world class infra-structure facilities makes it possible to give emphasize on the vision of the Department, Institute as well as Trust for excellence in education.
Exposure to the hidden talents through student’s Association of Computer (SAC), local chapters of different professional bodies like Computer Society of India (CSI), Google Developers students club (GDSC), and value added certification courses through NPTEL, SWAYAM, Oracle academy, AWS academy, IIT Spoken tutorial, social awareness through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities ensures overall development of every individual student as a professional and responsible citizen of the nation.
