Internal Hackathon for Smart India Hackathon 2024

On 10th September 2024, one day Online Internal Smart India Hackathon 2024 was organized by the Department of AI & DS, MET’s Institute of Engineering, Nashik.

The objectives of the Internal Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2024 are to foster innovation by encouraging students to think creatively and develop solutions to real-world problems, and to promote collaboration by enhancing teamwork skills through diverse, multidisciplinary teams. The event aims to support skill development by providing a platform for participants to apply their technical knowledge in a practical setting, while also offering industry exposure to help bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world challenges. Additionally, the hackathon seeks to encourage entrepreneurship by motivating students to explore ideas with commercialization potential, identify and recognize talented individuals and teams with exceptional problem-solving abilities, and build confidence by challenging students to step out of their comfort zones and tackle complex issues.

The Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2024 is a nationwide initiative aimed at fostering innovation and creativity among students by providing a platform to develop solutions for real-world problems. It brings together participants from various academic institutions to work collaboratively in teams, addressing pressing challenges posed by different government departments, industries, and NGOs.

The hackathon encourages the application of cutting-edge technologies and problem-solving skills, enabling students to gain hands-on experience while contributing to the development of innovative solutions. SIH 2024 also aims to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and industry needs, promote entrepreneurial thinking, and provide exposure to industry practices and expectations.
