Career Katta is a platform at MET's Institute of Engineering to help the students shape up their careers. Number of activities are carried out to help students to enhance their employability. Number of training programmes are carried out every year. The students are placed in reputed organizations through Training & Placement activities carried out at the Institute. The students are also encouraged to pursue entrepreneurship as a career, for this an Entrepreneurship Development Cell (E-cell) had been established in the year 2010. Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has also recognized MET's Institute of Engineering as a Centre for Innovation and Start-up.

Initiatives for Placements:

A cohesive team comprising of Placement Coordinator, Staff coordinators from each department, along with Student coordinators take efforts to invite Corporates to conduct campus interviews, and select the students. The sincere efforts of the team have been very well reflected in the placement figures, number companies visited, and average salaries offered, which have shown a marked improvement year after year.

Initiatives for Higher Education:

Students are also encouraged to go for higher studies in India and abroad. For this, motivational lecture sessions are carried out with the help of Institute faculty, as well as professionals from external agencies.

Initiatives for Entrepreneurship:

The Institute carries out number of activities through E-cell to promote entrepreneurship amongst the students. The entrepreneurship awareness programmes are carried out, the successful entrepreneurs from the region are invited to motivate the students. Expert sessions are also conducted to increase awareness about Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs).
