About Department
The Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering of MET’s Institute of Engineering, Bhujbal Knowledge City is established by Mumbai Educational Trust in the year of 2006, along with Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering. Over a period, the institute has grown with addition of Civil Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, MCA, ME Computers, ME Mechanical Engineering. Now MET's Institute of Engineering has started UG programme in Electronics and Computer Engineering this academic year that is 2025 - 2026, responsibility is assigned to manage is Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering department at initial stages.
The Institute has grown over the years with the state of the art Laboratories, Computing facilities and dedicated faculties.
Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering department is fully committed to the Mumbai Educational Trust's vision for educational excellence at Bhujbal Knowledge City. This commitment is realized through our highly qualified and dedicated faculty, supported by excellent infrastructure.
Our Department boasts well-equipped laboratories dedicated to providing hands-on experience. The department has Basic Electronics Lab, Analog and Digital Integrated Circuits, Microprocessor and Microcontroller, Printed Circuit Board(PCB), Digital Electronics and VLSI, Analog and Digital Communication, Microwave Communication and Fiber Optic Communication and Software laboratories. These laboratories are well equipped with equipments like Function Generators, CROs, DSO, Spectrum Analyzer, PLC, Microwave Test Bench, Printed Circuit Board lab setup, etc.. The departments comprehensive Software Laboratories – provide the tools and environment to transform theoretical knowledge into tangible skills. The robust learning environment with laboratories featuring updated modern computers and licensed software including Xilinx, MATLAB, Mentor Graphics, Proteus Simulation S/W, Automation Studio, etc.
To further for the student development, we regularly host industry-collaborated workshops on topics like VLSI Design, IoT, Robotics, PCB designing, Antenna Designing and many more.
Similarly various national trainings, virtual internships are provided to the students through EduSkills AICTE Trainers, NPTEL Chapter, and Spoken Tutorial Forum by IIT Bombay, for the students teaching learning enhancement.
For the students overall personality growth, we have Student Association Forum, NSS, CSR Volunteering and IEEE Student Branch to face the real world with more confidence and knowledge.
We firmly believe in bridging the gap between academia and industry. Our commitment to promoting active interaction between students, faculty, and industry personnel is unwavering. Through industrial training, internships, and industrial visits, we strive for continuous technical skill enhancement for both, our students and faculty. We are actively forging and nurturing alliances with industries to provide with invaluable real-world exposure and prepare the student for the demands of the professional world.
