ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
About Department
Welcome to the Department of Electrical Engineering (EE) at MET’s BKC. Electrical Engineering provides a leading edge in the study of Engineering. The department offers four year Bachelor of Engineering (BE) program (comprising of eight semesters). The curriculum of BE program comprises of core courses, elective courses, seminar, experiments in laboratory, projects etc. The program offers sufficient flexibility so that the students can undertake various elective courses that provide exposure in various disciplines of EE such as Robotics and Automation, Power Quality, Illumination Engineering, Project Management, VLSI design, High Voltage Engineering, Digital Signal Processing, ANN and its Applications in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, EHV Transmission, Smart Grid, Restructuring and Deregulation, Renewable Energy Systems, PLC and SCADA Applications etc .
Key Features:
- We maintain separate well equipped Electrical Lab, Computer Lab with (MATLAB, PLC SCADA, and C prog.)
- We also maintain High Voltage Material Science Lab. for testing Electrical Materials.
- We provide testing Equipments for Final Year projects to encourage students to work on new research & challenging platform.
- Students of B.E. & T.E are encouraged for mock Seminars in order to help them for final Year Project Presentations.
- Besides this we also maintain a Departmental Library for our Students.
- Every Semester we organize technical and non technical events like (EESA, EMF & Engineers week). Social activity namely SWARPAN-Life for others to improve their practical knowledge, team work and organizational skills.
- Industrial Visits are arranged to expose students with industrial environment.
- Our faculty members are always available to guide our students whenever needed.
